Artecoll Injection

Artecoll - Permanent wrinkle removal

Dermal fillers are becoming increasingly popular for individuals seeking options to diminish the appearence of lines and facial wrinkles. Artecoll (known as ArteFill in the USA) was the first permanent dermall filler to see widespread use across the world. (The ArteFill version of this injectable wrinkle filler that has been approved by the FDA for use as a facial filler.) Artecoll touts an ability to diminish visible wrinkles almost immediately following an Artecoll injection. With Artecoll many uses of dermal filler products were possible but not practical due to the constant need for a follow up treatment. With Artecoll procedures such as non-surgical nose jobs, facial sculpting and permanent lip augmentation are now practical as well as possible.

How Artecoll works

Artecoll is an exclusive blend of organic and synthetic compounds purified for cosmetic use. Artecoll's synthetic compounds consist of polymethymethacrylate are combined with a bovine derived collagen gel to make up a long-lasting dermal filler. Furthermore Artecoll contains lidocaine which helps to minimize discomfort associated with the cosmetic procedure. Traditional dermal fillers such as Radiesse, Restylane and Sculptra are what are known as re-absorbable fillers. Their composition is slowly absorbed into the body and the procedures results diminish over time. Artecoll is not absorbed into the body and therefore its wrinkle improving results are permanent.

Artecoll Procedure Details

Like other dermal fillers Artecoll can be administered in an outpatient setting. Artecoll typically requires one or two treatments to achieve ideal results. For optimal results it is recommended that Artecoll be injected in several stages over the course of 1 to 3 months. The Artecoll procedure is typically performed in an outpatient capacity often in your doctor's office. Depending on your needs the procedure can take as little as a few minutes.

Artecoll Recovery Time

Those receiving an Artecoll treatment may experience swelling or redness in the treated areas following the procedure. For the vast majority of individuals the swell is temporary. It is recommended that patients avoid sports or activities where contact with the treated areas could be encountered for several days following an Artecoll procedure. As the procedure is an outpatient procedure patients should be able to return to work based upon their physician's recommendation.

Artecoll Results - Duration of procedure
